So What Have I Missed?
One might gather from my last strip that I am less than excited about the release of Gilad Shalit, and I can assure you there is nothing further than the truth. I am very pleased that he is on his way home to his family, even with the pain of the heavy price. 5 years is long enough.
This got me thinking about the way we measure time in our lives: 5 years can feel liek a very short time, considering a job you've been doing for 20 years or a house you've been living in for 40. But really try to imagine missing out of 5 years- in today's super fast paced life 5 years are eternity. Can you believe that back then we had to press buttons to make calls?? Skipping 5 years and suddenly seeing the Iphone 4s is like getting out of your Delorean and being handed a hovering skateboard.
