Buying Fire From Eskimos
I've been putting this off for a long time, so today I pulled myself together, took the bus and went to PC World to buy a new Graphic Card. It's not cheap either: a mid range card will leave you £100 out of pocket. That's why I took the time and travelled to a big computer outlet- so I can get some expert advice and get best value for money. Good plan in theory, not so much in practicality: not one employee that knows one thing about PC components. Just me, a woman who knows nothing about computers, and a guy who was a little more helpful only as he knew where the cards were in the store. Eventually I picked one that so far has worked fine, but with the help I got at PC World it was the scariest £100 I ever spent.
