Art and Science

Art and Science

What you see here are the keynotes from today's presentation of our big move to the new art campus.
300 art students were waiting to hear answers about parking spaces, availability of stuff and facilities. But instead all they got was two alternating slides, one stating the amount of money spent on the new building and another glorifying the square meter of the campus. Yeah, the suit-people thought they can dazzle us simple artists with big numbers like 80,000,000 and 15,000. Oh boy were they wrong: the room quickly turned on them, and if it wasn't for the free sandwiches in the back I'm sure a riot would have started.
£80,000,000? Wow, that sure is more than the £6 I pay for Big Mac and Chips. 15,000 square feet? Holy Maria! That's like a whole city! How about the fact that the new building is actually smaller than the one we are occupying today? Doesn't look like a big number now, does it?
