It's official, and has been for a few weeks now: summer's here.
I always get a bit scared when I say it, or even think it. English summer is such an elusive concept I feel that contemplating over it for more than a few seconds will cause it to evaporate back into non-existence. When it is here, though, people forget the effects of direct sunlight and spend hours lying naked in parks. By sunset, half of London looks like the inside of a red leather coat. I, on the other hand, was born and raised in the sun. I am in my element, biatches. Or so I thought. One afternoon in the pool and I'm as red as a lobster. I guess it's official too: I'm a local.
